Wedding FAQ's

How do we find out your availability?

just drop me a message with your date

and I will check my calendar!

How far in advance should we book?

as with most wedding providers,

the longer the notice

the better to guarantee your date

and avoid disappointment -

but this doesn't mean

I wont have your date available -

simply drop me a message to check!

Do we need to pay a deposit?

when is this due?

yes - as with most services

a fixed deposit is needed

to guarantee your date to you.

a deposit of 25% is required

for all of my wedding packages

and can be paid along

with your booking form.

deposits are non-refundable.

When would we need

to pay the final amount?

this can be paid in part

or in full before your day

or in full by 1 week

before the day.

How would you describe

your style & presence

at a wedding?

I like to get in amoungst the day,

working discreetly to capture

intimate moments & candids

and taking control when needed

for those group shots.

I like to be creative

and love ideas from you too!

my style is artistic, candid,

romantic and classic.

do you have a portfolio

of work for us to view?

my work is available

to view online in my galleries

and I can provide a sample

wedding book on request.

what type of

equipment do you use?

I work with professional grade

D-SLR and lenses.

I have invested a lot of money

into better equipment

as well as teaching myself further.

I shoot in digital RAW format.

Do You share our images?

only with your consent.

What if it rains?

we will get wet! haha.

we will work around the weather,

its the only thing you

simply cannot predict!

especially in the UK.

What if you are ill

or cannot make our day?

on the very, very rare occasion

I am too ill to cover your day,

I liaise with top wedding photographers

all over the UK and would

find an associate shooter

if the need arose.

this has happened less than 4 times

in a 100+ wedding career.

Do you need to know anything

from us before the day?

yes. I like to have a list

of requested shots (groups, etc)

to work from, as well as any

input into the style or

specific things you'd like captured.

your input is important for me

to get you the best photos

from your day -

don't worry about the

technical/artistic side,

as I work from the environment

& capture moments I know you'll love,

but when it comes to

something special to you,

I may not know - so tell me! :)

Do you charge for travel?

if your wedding is

taking place out of the

Portsmouth/Fareham/Gosport areas -

I will charge additionally for travel.

this can be discussed during our booking.

Do we provide you food on the day?

its not compulsory to do so,

but is very much appreciated!

only if I am shooting for you all day.

i tend to take a break

during the wedding breakfast.

nobody wants eating pictures!

Are you insured?

I have public liability insurance

& proof on request.

I also have insurance on

all of my equipment.

will you be shooting other weddings

on the same day as ours?

I never book more than

one wedding in a day.

this ensures my full attention

on your special day only.

is there a contract/paperwork

we need to see or sign?

yes, I can either send this to you

over the internet or via post

to check and sign

before your wedding day.

it simply includes the agreement

made between us, whats included

and consent of the use of the images.

THIS CONTRACT IS NOW INCLUDED

WITH THE BOOKING FORM

SO PLEASE ENSURE YOU READ

ALL THE INFORMATION

WHEN SIGNING.

view full terms here.

you also need a print

release for your images

for printing, which will come

with your downloads and USB.

How long after our wedding

can we expect to view?

during busy periods

(usually Jul, Aug, Sep)

you can expect to start viewing

your proofs online within

3-4 weeks minimum,

I strive to provide some sneak peeks

within a week, too!

I will keep you updated

on this as at times, it can be sooner.

Do we receive all original images?

I do not provide all

of the original shots.

I work through them and

select the best shots taken,

avoiding you receiving

many duplicate shots

and any shots that didn't

quite fit my standard.
